New apartments for rent in Ormskirk

The Council are currently building 8 new 1 bed apartments for affordable rent.

The properties are part of the exclusive Walmsley Drive development which enjoys a great Ormskirk town centre location, conveniently located for shopping, leisure facilities also being very close to rail and bus stations.

There are 4 apartments on the ground floor, and 4 on the 1st floor all with open plan living-dining room, there is lift access to the 1st floor apartments .

The energy efficient apartments will have individual gas heating and level access showers. For life in the digital age all enjoy Cat 6 Ethernet connection and are Sky Q ready. Car parking is available.

We expect to advertise the apartments on Homefinder mid June 2019. If you are interested make sure you complete a Homefinder application form straight away, as you will need an active application to be able to place a bid on the vacancies.

The Local Lettings Policy outlines who will be apply to bid and which groups of applicants will be given preference.  

Roseacre Gardens in Rufford

West Lancashire Borough Council has negotiated an arrangement with Jones Homes to provide 14 Affordable homes on their popular development at Roseacre Gardens in Rufford West Lancashire.

There will be 10 homes for rent owned by Helena Partnerships, part of the Toros housing group. West Lancashire Borough Council has nomination rights for the rental properties which will be advertised through West Lancs Homefinder.

The rental properties consist of:

  • 4 x 2 bedroom houses
  • 4 x 3 bedroom houses
  • 2 x 2 bedroom bungalows

The first five rental properties are expected to be advertised on Homefinder in November/December 2017. They will be

  • 3 x 3 bedroom houses
  • 2 x 2 bedroom houses

The remainder of the rental properties are expected to be advertised on Homefinder in March/April 2018. They will be

  • 1 x 3 bedroom house
  • 2 x 2 bedroom houses
  • 2 x 2 bedroom bunglaows
